PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection pre-orders have come and gone in both the US and the UK - and everything proved wildly popular, as expected.
The PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary bundle, for example, sold out practically immediately in both regions and everything else wasn't far behind. Now, it looks like everything is bone dry in both regions, and we're left hoping for restocks or more injections of inventory. As a result, we still think all the below pages are well worth keeping an eye on as we go into October.
Releasing on November 21, and finished in a brilliant retro gray color and channeling PS1-style aesthetics, the limited edition PS5 Pro bundle, PS5 Slim Digital Edition bundle, PlayStation Portal, DualSense Edge, and regular DualSense products are perfect for collectors and PlayStation enthusiasts.
The PS5 30th Anniversary Dualsense controller pre-orders proved particularly popular, and we might see flashes of that return, while the wider PS5 Pro pre-order situation looks OK, and being able to buy a PS5 disc drive has become a little easier.
However, if the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection pre-orders are still your main attraction, then read on to learn where you still may have a chance to buy one of these limited edition products for yourself.

Should you pre-order the PS5 30th Anniversary Edition?
Whether or not you should pre-order the PS5 30th Anniversary Edition items comes down to a number of factors. Are you nostalgic about that PS1-era aesthetic? Do you want to own a limited version of the console, controller or PlayStation Portal? Are you simply looking to replace your existing console or are buying one for the first time? If the answer to any of these is 'yes', then it's definitely worth keeping those pre-order pages open.
However, if you're happy with your current console - or simply don't like the idea of spending more for a slightly fancier console or controller - then you can safely give this 30th Anniversary stuff a miss. For the PS5 Slim and controllers, there don't appear to be any notable hardware improvements beyond the limited edition look. Similarly, the PS5 Pro model will be identical to its standard version when that launches on November 7.
I've been testing and reviewing gaming hardware for TechRadar Gaming for over two years, and I strive to be as open, informative and honest as possible when it comes to recommending products new and old. While I personally won't be pre-ordering any of the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Kit, I do appreciate the PS1-style aesthetics on display, and I think it's a smartly designed collection overall.
